This is a lot of 2 Brand New Tecate Matched Pair Reference Standard Capacitors. You will receive a matched pair with a tolerance of 0.002% from a group having a nominal capacitance of 2.2uF. It’s important to note that this meticulous work is performed by hand at the factory utilizing the most accurate calibration equipment available. Specifically the GenRad General Radio 1689 Precision Impedance Meter, the world's standard for capacitance measurement and calibration. Tecate Group performed the matched pair test for these through-hole capacitors at their San Diego, CA, facility through the development of their own proprietary test algorithm where multiple readings are taken on each capacitor to ensure no out-of-group failures. The values of these metallized polyester polyethylene terephthalate (PET) non-inductive capacitors began at 2.2000uF w/ 5% tolerance, and from there another one was matched by Tecate Group @ their facility in San Diego, CA to a tolerance of 0.002% from the one taken. As an example, you may receive a bag of two capacitors with one rated at 2.1561 uF and the other rated at 2.1566 uF (which is 0.002% tolerance from its matched pair--the one that's rated at 2.156 uF). Thus, you receive two capacitors, each guaranteed to have a tolerance of less than or equal to 0.002% of its matched pair. This process makes these capacitors an ideal solution to calibrate your LCR meter, or any equipment that demands a very tight and precise capacitance values for its calibration. When you calibrate your equipment under the same test conditions as are listed on the Certificate of Analysis for Matched Pair Capacitors (last picture), then your calibrated result will have the accuracy as if calibrated with a capacitance reference standard, since the matched capacitor pairs were themselves matched using state-of-the-art capacitance standards and related test equipment, the General Radio 1689 Precision Impedance Meter. Multiple readings are taken on each capacitor by Tecate Group to ensure no out-of-group failures, and this ability to tightly group capacitance values at the factory ensures you’ll receive most accurate matched pair capacitors available. Tecate’s matched pair capability are performed with the GenRad General Radio 1689 LCR Meter which allows Tecate Group to match pairs to within 0.002%. Each pair is delivered in a single bag with a unique serial numbe r and contains the capacitance readings of both capacitors in the pair (the original readings are kept electronically).
